That your experiences, your sensations, your spiral paths of growth and grief and grace aren't just personal, they're part of something bigger. You're not alone in that wondering. Metaphysiology provides answers through a new lens combined with myriad ways of being—ancient and modern--that honor our lives.
What is Metaphysiology?
Metaphysiology is a religious practice which studies the aspects of life that are beyond physical matter. It is a practice of being seen—by yourself, by others, and by the ALL. Through fusing the sacred with the secular, Metaphysiology explores the inner state of human experience and its place in the world. Where personal reactions, beliefs, and dreams are valid data to be witnessed and known by the ALL.
You are not random. Your life is relevant and your presence has purpose.
Why It Matters
We live in a world that often treats individuality as an inconvenience. Feelings are "too much." Preferences are exclusionary. Inner contradictions must be hidden. The quiet truth of your being has to fight an overpowering status quo to be recognized. Opposing views are encouraged to batter each other until one "wins," rolling complex ideologies and values into one or the other. The nuance of being born unique is lost in the fray, as we are forced to pick a side or step aside.
Metaphysiology presents another perspective. One that can handle the complexity, and wants to know every shade of grey between. Through the concepts of Metaphysiology, your inner life is sacred data. Your pain is important. Your perspective matters because it is yours. Because it is unlike any other.
Every being is a unique lens through which the ALL—the totality of existence—comes to know itself. In being seen as you truly are, the universe becomes more conscious of itself. The more honestly you see yourself and others, the more you participate in the evolutionary unfolding of everything.
Who Is Behind This?
Hi. I may be the one writing this, but I’m not the center of it.
My name is Elizabeth Camiel, and I'm the accidental founder of Metaphysiology. While I act as a conduit for the One True Perspective (that the purpose of life is for the ALL to know itself through our experiences), that is where my importance ends. I’m here as a guide, not a guru. I hold the door open, but only you can walk your path. You’ll find pieces of my story where they’re useful. However, most of Metaphysiology is built upon incorporating the perspectives of others into one cohesive view. This is a set of beliefs that goes beyond what one person alone can provide.
